Captain Barbossa is a villain from Kingdom Hearts II.

Captain Hector Barbossa is the leader of Undead Pirates who plague Port Royal. He and his crew took the Black Pearl from Jack Sparrow and used it to find Aztec gold. However, the gold was cursed, leaving the pirate crew immortal, but unable to satisfy their desires and they gain the appearance of zombies under moonlight. Pete visited the world, extending his hand in aid. The pirates kidnap Elizabeth Swann, thinking she was the daughter of William Turner and gaining the Aztec medallion she possessed. As Barbossa later explained to Elizabeth, they needed all pieces of the Aztec gold and the blood of those who took the gold to break the curse. William Turner's children could apparently be used as a substitute.

At the ceremony at Isla de Muerta, the headquarters of the pirates, Barbossa spills the blood of Elizabeth on the Aztec gold. However, nothing happens. In his anger, he fails to notice Will Turner taking away Elizabeth. Nevertheless, he has Jack as a hostage and the Black Pearl is able to catch up with the Interceptor. Even after a lengthy battler for the medallion, Sora and the ship's passengers are taken captive. Will Turner comes to their rescue, threatening suicide if his friends are not released. His noble act fails as Pete knocks him out cold and the rest are tied up in the Interceptor's cabin, with explosives around the deck.

Back at Isla de Muerta, Barbossa performs the ceremony with Will; as he is about to spill his blood, Sora and Jack crash the party. Jack and Barbossa fight with their words, with Barbossa striking a final blow. However, he is stunned to find that the curse in on Jack, as well; he took a medallion from the chest. He calls for Pete's help, which is granted in the form of the Illuminator Heartless, who absorbs the moonlight, making Barbossa immune to the Keyblade. Sora and Jack destroy the Illuminator and defeat Barbossa while he lurks in the moonlight. Jack and Will return the medallions with their blood to the chest, allowing Jack to shoot Barbossa dead.

The battle music against Captain Barbossa and the Illuminator is Vim and Vigor.
