First of all, if it ever is a spin-off, obviously Sora has to star in it. He's the driving force behind the entire series, for goodness' sake. And secondly, the events of Coded and Reconnect have already shown what Sora's going to have to do in the next game : save Roxas, Ventus, Axel, Xion, Namine, Terra and Aqua.
