Okay, this is probably a bit insane, but here goes...
I have been struck by the holiday spirit, and would like to make a little present for you guys here on the wiki, especially our regular contributors. So here's the deal: this weekend only (Nov. 27-29) I will take requests from you guys and make you your own holiday-styled talk bubble avatar, in the style of the Mobile Avatars, like the Daisy I have.
I do have a few rules to lay down though for my health and my sanity. First, users need to have made at least 200 edits to the wiki, and a decent number of them on mainspace editing or significant contributions. If I have time and energy, I will probably lower this number.
Second, base avatar requests are limited to those already available in the gallery.
Third, I want to keep the edits simple, so I can get folks their avatars as quickly as possible. So, the following fix-ups will be offered:
- Add a Santa Hat, Reindeer Antlers, or Top Hat to an avatar.
- Add a scarf styled like Daisy's above or like Donald's snowman outfit.
- Add angel wings.
- Recolor an avatar. Please keep these to simpler outfits, please; if it's too much, I might have to turn this one down.
- Hold a small holiday-themed item, such as a gift, bell, candle, menorah, etc. If you're not sure of an item, run a suggestion by me and I'll see what I can do.
- Do a head/body swap.
The following would be examples of reasonable requests:
- Put a red Santa Hat on KH2 Kairi and recolor her dress green.
- Put a Donald-type scarf on King Mickey and have him hold a candle.
- Put KH1 Riku's head on Sora's Christmas Town outfit, recolored blue, with reindeer antlers.
- Recolor Soldier gold, add a star on top of its helmet, and white angel wings
I will try to fulfill requests to the best of my ability, and might even add a surprise or two if I'm feeling festive. If I have a problem, I will contact you on your talk page. Avatars will be "delivered" on your talk page as well. As long as I receive your request before 12:00 am EST, I will make you an avatar; you will just receive it later in the week as work, family, and charity permit.
