We actually had a topic on this ages back...I think we didn't notify Wikia in time to halt the blog from coming on this wiki. Supposedly there's coding to at least keep blog updates from showing up else where, but it seems not to work very well. BebopKate 02:11, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

I say it's best if they actually go. I've got a to-do list which I hardly ever look at. And by the way, for most bloggers, a blog is like a home. What's the point of having a home if you can't decorate it ? Not only are the posts all black and white (mostly), there's no HTML customisation and it's hosted on the kingdomhearts.wikia domain name - which is a no-no for a personal blog. Wikia really shouldn't have made the move... unless there's gonna be some use for it, which I really don't know. TNÉ _{En avant Bravo !} 02:31, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Please, just get rid of the damn things. I cannot begin to say how much trouble they have caused on the Wiki; the drama, communicative Users skyrocketing up on the Community List (just look at who replaced Azul, who has been here for multiple years).... Hi. Blogs can be very useful... but it depends very much on each community. One possibility here is that you need to define what they should actually be used for. For example, I've seen them used for news, Wikia staff use them for announcements, and I've seen them used for fanon, or opinions, or...

You as a community can decide what to use them for and, more importantly, you can regulate that. You don't have to put up with off topic stuff if you don't want to (although if that's what you want to use them for, that's fine too). Admins and the community can decide what is acceptable and what isn't, just as you already do for articles.

But then, on the other hand, they might not be right for this community. If that's what you decide, then that's fine too :) Just let us know via Special:Contact when you are sure, and we will turn them off for this wiki. It's up to you! -- sannse<staff /> (talk) 03:37, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

I agree that we should get rid of them. They are a nuisance and as DTN said the community list should be for people who edit to better the wiki, not chat. They halt the progress of why we are truly here; to edit and add Kingdom Hearts information. We can be community but if people want to make their own games, talk about drama or things not related to Kingdom Hearts, they can easily do it in the IRC, some Kingdom Hearts related forum or somewhere else. *Gets off the soapbox now... - HeartOfOblivion 03:38, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, we really don't need blogs here. I don't mind being friendly with my fellow editors, but this is not the place to express your personal lives. The blogs take away from the main goal of the wiki, and just cause unnecessary drama. You should be here to improve the wiki, this isn't Myspace/Facebook. Guardian Soul 03:44, October 6, 2009 (UTC)

If there's any content there you'd like to keep, you'll need to move/copy it into another namespace first.
