I'm thinking it's possible that multiple abilities equipped could change how the ability works. It's possible but I'm not certain. Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I cannot accept, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those I had to kill because they pissed me off. - Erry 20:13, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

I checked it, however I'm in another rut, it's possible there are two variants, a far distance one and a short range one. I'm not sure if that's the case but it seems like it. Slapshot only functions when you're right next to the enemy/object. The move you see in the original image was a typo - that's Sora's standard thrust that you have as a default ability from the beginning of the game.
