As for the rest, all I really feel comfortable suggesting is massive amounts of patience. ''Massive'' amounts. Keep making quality edits and pick a focus, like incorporating trivia or cleaning up character articles. Point out quality work you see on other wikis you frequent. If it gets frustrating or abusive, stop. There's no reason to drive yourself crazy over a wiki.
