Exiting the battle has the same effect as selecting Continue, where if the character loses to one of the subsequent fights of a boss rush, they will be brought back to the area before the first boss fight. Selecting this option when losing to a scripted fight that takes place before the character can explore the world results in them being brought back to the world map. The player resumes at a save point if there is any after selecting either Continue or Exit Battle during a Game Over. | |||
