Melody Catcher: Difference between revisions

In the 3DS version of the game, the player must use the touchscreen and stylus to tap out the beat of the notes given as well as follow the directions that the notes flow. Both Sora and Riku use their own specific music during their respective visits. While Sora uses it in his visit, the music is based on the Pastoral Symphony. Riku's visit, on the other hand, uses ''Waltz of the Flowers'' from the Nutcracker Suite. The bottom screen is black with the notes appearing for the Reality Shift.

In the console versions of the game, the player instead must press or hold the respective buttons in time with the notes. This time, Sora and Riku use additional music alongside their aforementioned music, this time including ''Trepak'' from the Nutcracker Suite and the Sorcerer's Apprentice, previously unused in the 3DS version. The Reality Shift instead shows the landscape of the area where it is initiated with the notes and buttons appearing on a line.

* Data in ''Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance'' revealed that there were two more versions of Melody Catcher planned, one based on ''{{w|Trepak}}'' from the ''{{w|The Nutcracker|Nutcracker Suite}}'', and another based on ''{{w|The Sorcerer's Apprentice (Dukas)|The Sorcerer's Apprentice}}''.
