==Mechanics==

Wayfinder is a technique that is randomly activated while fighting alongside King Mickey. The standard combo is a multi-hit combo in which [[Aqua]] and King Mickey repeatedly teleport and strike enemies in their path.

During the battle against the [[Demon Tide]], Wayfinder is activated as an Event [[Situation Command]] with minor differences compared to the standard Style Change. The command is prompted when Mickey rides the giant Heartless. When activated, Mickey uses his [[Star Seeker]] to send the Demon Tide towards Aqua, who fires chains of light to bind the Heartless's core and leave it vulnerable. Immediately afterwards, Aqua instantly activates the Wayfinder Style Change. This version of the technique has a combo which centers the camera around the bound Demon Tide core, with Aqua and Mickey repeatedly teleporting to strike it with combos.

In both versions of this technique, its Finish move consists of Aqua and Mickey unleashing a stronger, larger and golden version of Aqua's standard combo finisher. When activated against the Demon Tide, this finishing move lasts for a longer version of time and deals greater damage.

In the original Playstation 4 release of ''Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue'', Wayfinder's Finish commands is unlocked by filling the Situation Command meter while this Style Change is active. In the Epic Games PC version and in subsequent releases, the Finish command is instantly available upon activating Wayfinder (similar to [[Team Attack]]s in ''Kingdom Hearts III'').

Aditionally, Wayfinder is mutually exclusive with Aqua's [[Spellweaver]] Style Change. Activating either technique will cancel the other one (if active already)

Wayfinder appears as an unused [[Team Attack]] between Aqua and Mickey in ''[[Kingdom Hearts III]]'' should Aqua and Mickey be hacked into a battle together. Wayfinder's functions similarly as with ''Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-'', with its combo retaining the cinematic camera from the Demon Tide battle. However, it lacks Command Menu sprites, text, and a finisher. However, it retains its mutual exclusion with Aqua's [[Spellweaver]] Formchange; either it or Wayfinder can be active at a time, and activating one will cancel the other.

Should Aqua and Mickey be hacked into a battle against the Demon Tide, Mickey will ride it in a similar fashion as in ''Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-'' and unlock Wayfinder as a Situation Command, but the player will be unable to activate it.
