Identity[edit]

Even if revealing a character's identity in a pre-release interview is a bit uncharacteristic for Nomura, he did. From the Famitsu interview:

――黒コートの人物が、予知者たちのマスターですか?
野村 そうです。独特のノリの人物で、ウルコルニスのマスター・イラは「イラっち」、ウルススのマスター・アセッドのことは「アセどん」と呼んだりしています(笑)。

Name and Keyblade[edit]

The July 7th chi update brought about three bombshells with it: This guy's name is ルシュ - roughly "Rushu", he wields Xehanort's keyblade, and.....he's probably not actually the Master of Masters, but the traitorous sixth apprentice posing as him. The only thing that's 100% verifiable is his keyblade: Boom! As for the other details, let's wait until more concrete translations are up. --Ignis (talk) 13:50, 7 July 2016 (UTC)

The text I've seen doesn't make it clear whether his name is Lux, or whether Ava is talking to him about Lux. Let's wait until we get the script."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 14:01, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
From what I got of it, Ava referred to him as "Lux" (I'm gonna assume the actual spelling is either "Lucio" or "Luxio"), and was asking him the whereabouts of the Master. --Ignis (talk) 14:10, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
The game files call him Luxu by the way, but that's just anecdotal giving how strange some of the name's in the game's coding are. It figures that in hindsight Nomura's answer wasn't straight-forward at all. --ShardofTruth 14:45, 7 July 2016 (UTC)
Makes sense, still short for "Luxuria", and that way he has two syllables like the others."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro)

One thought: Like his apprentices he might be named after one deadly sin. The one sin left is "Pride"; "Superbia" in latin. (Connected "evil beast": Lion) So his name might be "Super". Howsoever: On the Box with the 20 keyholes he gave to Luxu is written: "Χ SUPER", so there might be a connection.--188.101.132.185 15:34, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

"The"[edit]

I know this is an extremely minor thing, but shouldn't the name of this page be "The Master of Masters" instead of just "Master of Masters" since that's how it's written in the "Characters" section of the Back Cover menu that you unlock after watching the movie? The "Characters" section is essentially like the Journal/Reports, and those are always the best/most credible sources of information for character names and just everything in general. --Elfdemon (talk) 05:41, 29 January 2017 (UTC)

Well, we don't do it for the Master Control Program, but I can't remember if "the" was used in his Journal entry or not. Rex Ronald Rilander (talk) 03:53, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
The Master Control Program was simply "MCP" in the Journal. I can see the reason for having the page say "Master Control Program" instead of "MCP" though. Not really sure why Master of Masters page name doesn't have a "The" though, since the The Experiment page and the The World That Never Was page all have "The" in the titles. --76.102.24.151 05:51, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Go for it."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 17:49, 30 January 2017 (UTC)
Is it all right if I moved the page to "Master of Masters"? I finally got around to watching KHBC, and I disagree with Elfdemon that the page should be named to "The Master of Masters". I think the "the" should be removed.--NinjaSheik 20:16, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
Elfdemon suggested to add the "The", to match the Characters section, which we did. Could you explain why you want to move it back? TheSilentHero 21:05, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
Well, simply put, because of how the Master of Masters is addressed in the English version of the game. The subtitles doesn't address him as "The Master of Masters", but the "Master of Masters" (or simply the "Master"), not capitalizing the "T" in the "the", thus not including it as part of the title. I thought we always followed the English script of the game.--NinjaSheik 19:49, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
I don't think they capitalize the "The" in The Queen or The Prince either, for example. I don't think we should move it back, but we should link as the Master of Masters (with a small t), like we do for the Queen and the Prince. TheSilentHero 20:10, 19 May 2017 (UTC)
True. It's not that big of a deal, but I thought it was just weird to include the "the" in the title. Previously, the article capitalized the "the" in "The Master", though it's clear from the English script that the "the" isn't really part of the title. I thought the same thing should apply to the article's name, as well, so it can be seen as "The Master of Masters" instead of "The Master of Masters" since we bold the character's name exactly how it it written on the page's title.--NinjaSheik 19:00, 20 May 2017 (UTC)
