Talk:Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ

Gotta start off with sources for something of this scale, guys."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:53, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

Clarification: it also needs to be a non fansite source, even if that fansite has a reputation for reliability."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 20:37, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
Siliconera is a very reliable news site, and if they're calling this "Unchained X", that's what we should go with unless we have something from SE stating otherwise."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:08, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
I would say Unchained χ would be the proper and most likely title, despite lack of official confirmation, given the game's source material (the original KHχ). It's actually a very logical title, one that isolates it from the original game, making it its own thing, while also representing its nature as an adaptation of the source. - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 02:23, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
At the time I made the article, "Kingdom Hearts Unchained Key" was the only titled being circulated. No one had called it "Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ" (though in retrospect, it makes more sense). The only reason I hesitate to use "Unchained χ" as the title is because Siliconera is the only site using χ instead of Key (though I agree with ENX and Kryten, it makes more sense to use χ). Maybe if someone checked out the sources and see if the translation is better understood as the letter χ instead of the word Key, then we'd be more assured of the title. BUT, if you guys feel it's better to rename it without further checking, that's fine with me, too (again, I prefer χ over Key, too). I almost want to say we should go with the "most popular" fansite source name until we get something official from Square Enix... - Challenge Sigil KHD.pngEternal Nothingness XIIIChallenge Sigil KHD.png 06:09, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
The kana for χ is the same as for key (キー), so we'll have to wait until they show the logo or an English announcement. TheSilentHero 10:59, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Siliconera is a news site, not a fan site."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:36, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

As of this morning, Kingdom Hearts Insider is now using Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ [chi] as the title. They've posted scans from the Famitsu article that leaked where the announcement came in, so maybe it really is χ, and people were just using mistranslating. EDIT: And there's a logo there that says Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ, so yeah... Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 16:41, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

Since we have limited information, should this really have its own page and not just a mention on the khx page? From what I heard it's just a ios/android port of khx. Eternal Flames KHD.pngChainoffirePizza Cut KHD.png 15:22, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

Aren't the HD remixes just PS3 ports of the Final Mix games? Besides, we also have a page for two games in one package, so why shouldn't we have one for this game? TheSilentHero 15:34, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
We need a page for the reason TSH mentioned. Also, we might have limited information at current but that's evident to change. TheFifteenthMember 16:25, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Apart from the reasons TheSilentHero has mentioned, Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ is, from my understanding, also somewhat different from the original Kingdom Hearts χ. It's supposed to have new or additional plot elements, I think, so that would warrant the separate article. KHUX_Icon.png Since the heart really isn't a darker color. Up to you guys which one you'd prefer. Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.pngKeybladeSpyMaster Diamond Dust Keychain KHFM.png 18:44, 13 May 2015 (UTC)

I like KSM's one more. It looks more like the logo too. TheSilentHero 18:46, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
The heart is darker because the font is inverted in Unchained's logo. --Webber22 (talk) 19:18, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
In my opinion the "U" needs to be in there somewhere, although it looks like a "II" in KSM's version. Webber is right about the font though and I think this difference has an important intention.--ShardofTruth 19:41, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
I tried putting the U at the front as the very first thing, but it looked so cluttered. I dunno, it's up to you guys. I'm of the opinion that the icons need to be simple while also complementary of their respective games - that you know exactly what you're clicking on, so to speak. --Webber22 (talk) 23:51, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, but the normal logo and the unchained logo are not visually distinct enough for my taste. You can always hover over them of course, but that's a bit besides the point (since you can also read the page itself to find out more). Maybe dropping the χ for the U would work out better, I don't know. --ShardofTruth 00:29, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Chat[edit]

You can get unchained x even if you're in UK USA and other countries iOS

the "App Store" and scroll down to the bottom of the "Featured" page, and then click your "Apple ID" and click "View Apple ID." Click "Country/Region" and then "Change Country or Region." From here scroll down to the bottom of the list, click the option that says "日本" and hit next. Agree with the "Terms and Conditions" and then click cancel in the top left. Click on your Apple ID again, and select "Sign Out". Find the app in the "Search" tab or click here . Click "Get" and then it will ask you to sign in. Click the "Create New Apple ID" option and choose to register with a new e-mail address that is not attached to any Apple accounts yet. When it asks for you to fill out info you need to be sure to have "None" checked in payment options. The rest of the information can be whatever you wish except for the "Postal Code." This needs to be an official code and we used "1010047." Your phone number can be your own, as well. Agree with everything and finish the account setup. Now you should be able to enter your passcode and start installing the game!

Android

Enable installing APKs (Android app install files) from outside of the Google Play Store. To do this, go to the "Settings" app, scroll down to "Security", and tick "Unknown sources". Click OK on the popup alert. On your Android device, go to http://www.apkpure.c...ee-apk-download, and in the text field input com.square_enix.android_googleplay.khuxjp The APK file should now download! When the download is complete, open the file and click "Install". After this installs, you are done! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Roxas-676 (talkcontribs)

Europe and Australia[edit]

Was there ever confirmation that it would be released in these two regions? Eternal Flames KHD.pngChainoffirePizza Cut KHD.png 06:39, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

Not an official confirmation, no, but it was rated in Australia. --ShardofTruth 09:29, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
While that's an odd sight, should we really be hosting the flags in the page's infobox? Eternal Flames KHD.pngChainoffirePizza Cut KHD.png 06:43, 16 April 2016 (UTC)

On the nature of ever-expanding and changing online games[edit]

Apparently Unchained will also contain the "second season" of the KHX story ark. According to the newest interview with Nomura there will be a point where the story branches (something he only hinted at in the past) and its widely expected to be the Dandelion scene, where in [chi]'s scenario the player doesn't partake but probably will in Unchained, explaining the eponymous state and how the story can continue. --ShardofTruth 08:19, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

Oh joy, only seven months into the game."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 12:50, 15 June 2016 (UTC)
