YouTube videos[edit]

I noticed this page has A LOT of videos on it (eight for those unable to count), and the word "superfluous" comes to mind. Half of them are videos for Opposite Armor, which has it's own page. Would anyone be upset if we got rid of at least the Opposite Armor vids? They take up a lot of space, and aren't really relevant. And even then, four videos would be a lot for a single enemy page. =/ Doc rocco 04:27, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

FA icon.png Don't go too far. Darkside has SEVEN ! I think I'll have to make a major amendment to the Manual of Style (the Media Usage section).

Why not transfer the Opposite Armor vids to Opposite Armor ? That'll do the trick.

As for Darkside...... I'm not sure.

EDIT : I've cleaned up Guard Armor and transferred the Opposite Armor vids to Opposite Armor. Now the other article we have to clean up is Darkside.

How many vids do you think we'll need for an article ? The maximum number I'm setting is five (as I think Oogie Boogie and Xemnas have five vids each).

EDIT : There are six four Guard Armor vids. Only two were Opposite Armor vids. I think I'll leave this to you whilst I go edit the MoS : Please replace the one of Chain - Sora with Re:Chain - Riku. That way it'll seem balanced.

Days[edit]

The boss lists with "Armor" are "ラージアーマー" (Large Armor, M21), and "ソイルアーマー" (Soil Armor, M39). There is no Guard Armor in Days, and the templates and articles need to be corrected.Glorious CHAOS! 18:05, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Never mind, M61 has Guard Armor.Glorious CHAOS! 18:08, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Design Reference[edit]

I was looking through the article and noticed that the Final Mix version of the color scheme matches that of the original Gundam, which is VERY well known in Japan. Considering how well Gundam and influential Gundam is in Japan, I fell that this is very unlikely to be a coincidence(the color scheme even has the same placement for the most part, which is especially noticeable on the chest and feet) and feel as if this is worth making note of in the design section or at the very least in a trivia section. I previously made the edit but it was removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.21.113.153 (talkcontribs)

I think the trivia section is just fine for this tidbit. ShardofTruth 13:56, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Stats for Hades Cup[edit]

So right now it looks like we're sort of inconsistent on whether we are using this page or the Red Armor page for the colosseum stats in the original PS2 release. Because the Red Armor page only has stats for Final Mix (which might be fair since the enemy was referred to as Guard Armor originally and only differentiated by the game itself in Final Mix). Then this page does not include any colosseum stats for FM since those are on the Red Armor page. All fine and good. But then this page only has some of the stats for PS2's colosseum. It lists the stats for Phil Cup before and after rescue, but lacks any stats from the Hades Cup. The PS2 non-FM stats for the Hades Cup aren't listed on Red Armor either; they seem to be missing from the Wiki entirely. Also, one additional note I'm unsure how we want to address this, but I recently learned that the Guard/Red Armor pieces in the JP version of PS2 non-FM are purple and not red, so not only are they called Guard Armor by the game but they also aren't visually distinct either. So Red Armor as a concept was added in the international version of PS2 non-FM and named in FM but did not really exist in the original JP release. SpahgettiMan (talk) 06:17, February 5, 2026 (UTC)

According to the Ultimania, it has the same stats in the Hades Cup as in the Phil Cup after rescuing Kairi, so the After rescue row covers both cups. TheSilentHero 08:34, February 5, 2026 (UTC)

Stats in PS2 version[edit]

So in the JP version all three parts (torso, arms, legs) are said to have 11/10 str/def and in FM this has been reduced to 8/8. I’m willing to bet that’s accurate. But the international ps2 version lists 8/8 for the torso and 11/10 for the arms and legs. I’d be curious where we got that info or if it’s been it’s been tested. It’s entirely possible it’s correct, but it would be a very strange as it’s quite rare for enemies within the same episode of the same world to have different atk/def let alone parts of the same boss fight. Those stats are taken from the Bradygames guide. Not sure if it has been tested in-game. TheSilentHero 00:17, March 12, 2026 (UTC)
Bradygames has been mistaken before, as I recall a year or so ago (maybe two, god time flies) I found out that the HP of certain bosses in KH2 was changed between the JP and International versions of the PS2 release. Namely that Hostile Program had his HP increased in International, but Bradygames had reported that the change happened only in FM and erroneously stated that it had the lower HP count in the International version of PS2. So there is precedent that the bradygames guides occasionally use the original JP PS2 stats for the international PS2 release. Thought it would be odd if they got only one part of the fight mistaken. I have both PS2 versions ready right now, if I have time I'll boot them up and get hit by the torso spin at the same level/difficulty in both and see if the damage varies at all.
