== This is actually "Real Roxas" ==

The in-game Journal says "Roxas(?)" because it's unsure in itself what's happening. When the game starts we see the Journal has been changed. This was already enough proof to show there's a lot more going on here. How can "Data-Roxas" change something in reality especially when Jiminy has yet to scan the Journal with Chip & Dale's computer? The only answer is that this is a real manifestion of Roxas and this makes sense because "Books, Data, and Dreams" aren't real. Roxas never existed to begin with which therefore allows him to be in the Journal, Datascape, and Sleeping Realms. That's why in KH3 Donald and Goofy talk about how they saw Roxas in the Datascape just like how he met him in the Sleeping Worlds.

Because this is all a plot-thread from Chain of Memories about "Memories and Pain". We see Roxas and Sora have shared memory connection because of Twilight Town. Sora sees Oogie Boogie get his memories back see him go mad and depressed. Learning getting your memories back can come at a cost. In Coded is about Data-Sora confronting Roxas about this Pain and Roxas learning that this Pain is important and essential when getting your memories. To withstand pain is to embrace existence. That's why in Dream Drop Distance Roxas was seen in the Sleeping Worlds. Because again "Nobodies don't exist" which is why he can be seen in the Dreams. That's why Sora was able to get all of Roxas memories because of what Roxas learned in Coded. Otherwise the scene in DDD where he gives him all his memories comes completely out of nowhere. This is 100% "Roxas" and Coded mattered a lot as it served as the whole central conflict between Roxas and Sora's existence via Data-Sora meeting the Real Roxas. That's why Roxas disappears at the end from the Journal/Datascape as he's accepting his losses. "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it". Otherwise he'd just simply exist with Data-Sora but he can't because "Roxas doesn't exist".
