Merge?[edit]

Considering that 5 characters take the form of Ansem or the name of Ansem at some point (Xehanort's heartless, Ansem the Wise, Ansem the Wise as DiZ, Ansem the Wise as DiZ impersonating Xehanort's heartless as Ansem, and Riku impersonating Xehanort's heartless), I think it is necessary to merge this article with Ansem the Wise and Xehanort's Heartless.

The fact that so many take this name is only the more reason to have a separate disambig page. There's far too much material here to merge, and the article distinguishes between the identities rather than merely describing them, so there's no feasible way to split it up among the other articles. Disambig![edit]

It's ripe for disambiguation. Ansem can either lead to "Xehanort's Heartless" or "Ansem the Wise". Blue。 09:03, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. Xehanort's Heartless and AnsemTW's page already covered these sections.--Nelo

Antagonist[edit]

I don't understand the problem with listing the Heartless and Nobody as antagonists in this page. There could be a few people who haven't played more than the first game, and are interested in learning more through this Wiki. So of course, they would search "Ansem" and get here. If they don't know the main antagonist was a Heartless, they'll be confused who they're supposed to search for. Ansem is the main antagonist of the first game; he looms within the beginning and around the start last-third, he reveals himself in Riku. It's not his only appearance, but it can clarify for people who don't know it.--173.28.36.57 20:26, 11 September 2013 (UTC)

Ansem or Ansem the Wise first[edit]

I feel like it makes more sense to put Ansem the Wise first, since the qualifiers for the other entries are all based on that entry. Ordering them by significance in series would otherwise make sense if we could phrase the entries to not refer to each other, but since these are identity theft rather than simple stuff like Jack Skellington and Jack Sparrow, it's a bit harder."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." It's just that Ansem the Wise is almost always called "Ansem the Wise". While Ansem, Seeker of Darkness is almost always called "Ansem". Just look at the KHUX Medals: there's "Ansem", "SP Ansem", and "Illustrated Ansem" (All Ansem SoD), and "Ansem the Wise". Since searching for "Ansem" leads to this page, I think it's important to put the characters that are actually called Ansem first, and since Ansem SoD is called "Ansem" the most, it's probably who people are looking for the most.
Regarding Xemnas, they never call him Ansem. Donald is saying he's not Ansem. TheSilentHero 17:18, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
Right, but it's a character specifically related to the identity confusion (and to be completely accurate, the Japapnese script does call him the "Nise-Ansem" ("Fake-Ansem")."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 18:59, 17 September 2018 (UTC)
