Hey, i was wondering why we have 3 pages with basically the same name(2 with the exact) and the exact information?  Couldn't we change one of these to be the Deep Dive version?

|text=I think we can safely say that this issue is only relevant to 358/2 Days, yes? After all, that's when the event in question occurs. So technically, the answer is that the Neoshadows are there simply because they were seen in this FMV, and it would be a ridiculously painful and stupid retcon to try and remove them in Days.

If this purely pedantic solution does not satisfy you, I offer the following contextual one: we know that Heartless are drawn to the Keybearer, in an attempt to claim his/her heart. The fact that the particular wielder in this case is a Nobody is immaterial; the Keyblade is the homing beacon that the Heartless instinctively target. There's also the issue of Roxas having something that appears very much to be a heart, but that's mostly a separate issue. Anyway, we also know that the World That Never Was is perilously close to the Darkness, and that Neoshadows spawn at Memory's Skyscraper (as any KHII player can confirm). So there's little reason to suppose that anything changed significantly to trigger the assault, with the possible exception of the fact that, yes, the Organization is no longer protecting Roxas. I doubt the Neoshadows were sent by Saïx, as surely he'd send Nobodies instead?

On a tangential note: I am not sure quite what Xemnas hoped to achieve by ordering Saïx to retrieve Roxas. After all, the Luna Diviner had already demonstrated that he is no match for the Key to Destiny. Perhaps Xemnas is punishing Saïx for allowing Roxas to leave by sending him for another ignominious beating? :P

And if you look 28 seconds into the video, right before either Xemnas or Roxas "walks out" of the boulder there doesn't appear to be anybody sitting on the rock where Xemnas is while he is talking to Roxas. Ok, we '''know''' that it is Xemnas who is sitting there and has been sitting there when Roxas appears. This '''is''' with 100% surity Roxas. There is no question about it. There are multiple videos that contain the same scene. There is no question in the matter. Xemnas is so much talker than the figure who comes out of the CoD from the bolder. It still doesn't seem like Roxas to me, especially since every time he is shown in either of the videos his hair is coming out from under the hood. The shot right before Mickey appears makes it seem like maybe it was originally intended to be another character since if it was either Roxas, Xemnas, or Riku, it would be showing one of them twice. It cannot possibly be Roxas and if it isn't Xemnas or Riku it has to be another character. There are too many inconsistencies. First off, the glowing yellow eye. Secondly, the hair is completely different. And third and probably most damning I think is the fact that his shoes are completely different from Roxas' shoes. They're boots more akin to what most of the Org. 13 wear, while Roxas' shoes (shown while running up the building) are more Sora-esque. Back when ASAS:DD was first shown with the release of KH:FM in Japan nobody and I mean nobody ever thought that the so-called Dual-Wielding Unknown, later to be named Roxas, was the same person as the guy who comes out of the rock because they share no similarities. Hell, you can even briefly see the outline of the heartless emblem on the guy's chest when he exits the rock! It has to be Xemnas. –Between 0:26 and 0:28 into the video, before anyone shows up, ''there is nobody seated upon the rock in the Dark Margin.'' Wouldn't Xemnas already be there if it were Roxas?

-The figure who arrives is too tall to be Roxas, and has no hair. Height aside, Roxas' bangs are almost always over his face in both videos. Although--the Dark Margin is the one exception, but even then ''HIS eyes are NEVER shown.''

-Only later, at 2:15 and 2:36, do we see this shorter figure who, although their shoes/boots are not seen to tell, '''DOES''' have BHK-like height, unlike the first figure.

-Briefly at 0:30 and 0:37 it can be clearly seen that this first figure ''has standard Black Coat boots instead of Roxas' shoes.'' SEVERAL times in the video (1:01, 1:07, 1:14, ''especially'' 1:40), do we get opportunities to see that BHK/Proto-Roxas' shoes are NOT standard Black Coat boots.

-The figure's eye, glimpsed at 0:32, clearly has an Ansem/Xemnas/Xehanort-like shape to it.


The only reason for one to believe that it is Roxas who arrives early in the video is that Roxas shows up with the same camera angle via a Corridor in KH2's intro, and Xemnas is not shown seated in the shot of the Margin prior.

However, the view of the Margin is not a 1:1 match to Another Side, ''so I cannot call this a reliable source.'' In ''Deep Dive'', we always have the same angle shot of the DM to go off.

In the context of only "[deep dive]", I'm inclined to agree with you: the figure who emerges from the rocks is clearly different from the figure at the skyscraper who would later become Roxas. However, I think the later games want us to believe that it was actually Roxas, what with showing him teleport in from the rock in the KHII opening, so even though the FMV didn't plan on them being the same character, it was later decided that both would be Roxas.
