'''Second Form''' is a [[Formchange]] in ''[[Kingdom Hearts III]]''. It transforms [[Sora]]'s clothes into the color scheme of his attire from ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'' and allows him to harness abilities from his past adventures. It is triggered by the [[Kingdom Key]], [[Starlight]], [[Midnight Blue]], [[Phantom Green]], [[Dawn Till Dusk]], [[Elemental Encoder]], [[Advent Red]], and [[Dead of Night]] [[Keyblade]]s.

The name of the Formchange depends on the Keyblade — "Second Form" for Kingdom Key, "Second Form S" for Starlight, "Second Form M" for Midnight Blue, "Second Form P" for Phantom Green, "Second Form D" for Dawn Till Dusk and Dead of Night, "Second Form E" for Elemental Encoder, and "Second Form A" for Advent Red. Second Form S is the only variant that mechanically differs from the others.

==Appearance==

Second Form changes Sora's clothes into the same colors and style of his ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'' attire. Second Form alters Sora's appearance in other worlds:

*In his [[Toy Box]] form, Sora's blocks and patterns take on a similar appearance to his ''Kingdom Hearts II'' attire.

*In his [[Monstropolis]] form, Sora's jacket is identical to his normal form's Second Form jacket, and his fur is golden yellow with blue stripes.

*In his [[The Caribbean]] form, Sora's bandana, cuff links and coattail are grey. His jacket is grey with blue lines, his bandanna and cuffs turn white, and there is a blue heart with two white crossing [[Kingdom Key]]s above it on his hat.

The name refers to how it transforms Sora's clothes into his ''Kingdom Hearts II'' attire.

==Mechanics==

In ''Kingdom Hearts III'', Second Form, Second Form S, Second Form M, Second Form P, Second Form D, Second Form E, and Second Form A are the respective Formchanges of the Kingdom Key, Starlight, Midnight Blue, Phantom Green, Dawn Till Dusk and Dead of Night, Elemental Encoder, and Advent Red Keyblades. Second Form grants Sora several abilities from ''[[Kingdom Hearts]]'' and ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'', and has a maximum combo length of 6. At any time, Sora can use a situation command finisher that will also terminate the Formchange. Each time he fills the Situation Gauge, this finisher is replaced with a more powerful finisher—first [[Stun Impact]], then [[Sonic Blade]], and finally [[Ars Arcanum]], or [[Ancient Light]] in the case of Second Form S. If Sora has [[Falling Slash]], [[Quick Slash]], [[Flash Step]], [[Radial Blaster]], [[Aerial Sweep]], or [[Aerial Dive]] equipped, these abilities will be incorporated into Second Form's combos.

==Strategy==
Second Form is best suited for single target ground encounters or battles that give Sora breathing room to focus on one enemy at a time. When used for battling hordes, the player should focus on airborne enemies as this allows Sora to use Magnet Burst to drag in more enemies around him to not only do more damage, but to also fill up the situation bar faster. This tactic is especially useful for Second Form S because its third-level finisher, [[Ancient Light]], allows Sora to annihilate groups of enemies faster. 

Although Ars Arcanum deals significantly more damage than Sonic Blade and Stun Impact, the former two can still be useful during low HP situations for the invulnerability they grant.
