The '''Nescience''' is a set of [[Lance]]s that can be wielded by [[Xaldin]] in ''[[Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days]]''. It can be upgraded to the '''Nescience+''' and the '''Nescience++'''.

==Design==
A Nescience lance's shaft is black in the center and white on the ends, with the two colors being separated by small, silver rings. The lower blade is sky blue and conical in shape, with a large chunk taken out of one side. The upper blade is identical to the lower one, albeit larger and facing in the opposite direction. Two long, navy spikes wrap around the main blade and are connected to each other by a short, navy bar. The spikes point diagonally downward.

"{{w|Ignorance (disambiguation)|Nescience}}" is a lack of knowledge or awareness. Its Japanese name is shared with the Buddhist and Hindu term "{{w|Avidyā (Buddhism)|avidyā}}", which has the same meaning.

==Gameplay==
Nescience's normal ground combo starts with Xaldin swinging his lances from the same starting point upward to two far points in a "V" formation, followed by swinging his lances above him in a circular formation, like a fan, and ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards, followed by a star-shaped shockwave being emitted from the tips of the lances. The {{button|dsy}} combo can be activated after the first attack, and consists of Xaldin leaping into the air, swinging his lances above him in a circular formation, like a fan, followed by a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.

The aerial combo consists of an upward diagonal slash using one lance, followed by Xaldin swinging his lances above him in a circular formation, like a fan, and ends with a thrust of all six lances forwards at once in a pointed, star-like shape.
