No. 4 appears at the Palace Gate after Shan-Yu is defeated. Sora must hit 85 clones without getting hit. A recommended strategy is to hit the first batch of clones normally, and then use Final Form to fly around and ram into the clones with the spinning Keyblades or using Thundaga with the Photon Debugger equipped. The Form may run out near the end of the duel when the clones are stronger, so Sora should keep a distance and use Thundaga to destroy the last few clones and reach 85. An easier alternative is to use the Wisdom Form and move in a circular motion across the square while using Wisdom Shot, this way Sora can hit several clones at once without being hit. The Wisdom Shot combo finisher often slows Sora down towards the end of it, so equipping Berserk Charge and emptying the MP Gauge for a never-ending combo is also a good idea with MP Haste-type abilities removed to maximize the time used for Berserk Charge. If Sora's MP replenishes, use Blizzard or Thunder to quickly drain it again while still damaging the clones.

Its cloning trait references Vexen's ability to create Replicas while avoiding being hit, which is reminiscent of the Chilly Academic's cowardice.

However, the difficulty of this mushroom comes from the fact that roughly every 15-to-30 hits, as well as upon reaching 50 hits, it will be launched away from Sora forcing him to have to move after it even if a combo finisher doesn't connect on it (unlike the balloon during the Grandstander minigame). Because of this and the shape of the room being awkward at best, making use of Master Form to juggle the mushroom continuously can be difficult as it may force Sora to glide away from it as the mushroom is being air combo'ed, and there is also a chance it may fly out of range of Horizontal Slash; both these scenarios can also be true if both Sora and the mushroom contact the invisible ceiling of the room.

An alternate way of doing this is to equip as much Combo Pluses and Finishing Pluses as possible, activate Wisdom Form, and then pelt the mushroom with Wisdom Shot combos. After a Wisdom Shot combo finisher, cast one or two Thundaga finishers to finish the combo. Equipping Magic Lock-On makes this easier due to it automatically locking on to the Mushroom and increasing Thundaga's range. While Berserk Charge is also recommended for this strategy, the challenge becomes significantly easier with no need to cast spells if one can juggle the mushroom into any corner of the room (around any of the trees), where Sora can simply just shoot away from the proper position/distance to rack up hits without any extra movement.
An alternate way of doing this is to enter Wisdom Form, and to use the Shoot command repeatedly until its finisher is reached, then use the Thundaga finisher once or twice to complete each combo. At least two finishers per combo are required for this so equip Finishing Plus and Rumbling Rose if acquired. It is similar to the Overtake Reaction Command in Axel's boss fight on the 6th Day of the Prologue. Its small size could be a reference to Axel's waning loyalty to the group. It must also be pulled out of the ground to attack it, similar to the Assassin Nobodies.
