'''Link Summons''' are a gameplay feature in ''[[Kingdom Hearts III]]'', allowing Sora to fight alongside various allies. They serve as a replacement to the [[Summon]] and [[D-Link]] abilities from previous games.

==Mechanics==
Link Summons consume all of Sora's MP to use, and his MP must be at maximum to use. When used, they give Sora access to a [[Command Menu]] that allows him to perform various attacks, and gives him the option to cancel the Link or use the Finish command to perform a final attack. Upon use, Links also restore all of Sora's HP, except on [[Critical Mode]], where they restore half of his maximum HP. Sora remains vulnerable to damage during a Link, but will always keep 1 HP until it ends.

When activating a Link, a '''Link Cinematic''' will play. Link Cinematics can be toggled on or off in the Config menu. When turned on, they can be skipped with {{button|square}}/{{button|xboxx}}; when turned off, they will never play.

As long as a Link is active, Sora's Situation Command meter will neither increase nor decrease (even with the "Form Charge" [[EZ Code]] active). The timer of any active [[Formchange]] or that of their finish command will remain frozen during a Link Summon, but timers from any other type of Situation Commands above the Command Menu will continue to deplete during a Link Summon.

Additionally, Sora's MP gauge will also remain frozen in MP Charge for the duration of a Link Summon.

The [[Time Break]] status can deplete the duration of a Link's Finish command, and thus shorten the Link Summon's duration. If the timer is fully depleted by Time Break, the Link Summon will instantly end.

Link Summons are disabled in areas populated with NPCs. If Sora attempts to approach NPCs while using a Link Summon activated elsewhere, it will automatically end, with Donald commenting on the dangerosity of the technique.
