Isa lives in [[Radiant Garden]] alongside his best friend Lea. On their way to attempt to sneak into [[Ansem the Wise]]'s castle, Isa and Lea encounter [[Ventus]] in the Central Square. Despite Isa telling Lea they do not have time to mingle, Lea challenges Ventus to a duel. Lea loses but claims the match was a draw, and Isa playfully insults Lea's performance and then shares a laugh with the two boys, then he and Lea continue towards the castle.    

Some time after [[Terra-Xehanort]] is defeated by [[Aqua]], Isa and Lea are thrown out of Ansem the Wise's castle by [[Dilan]]. Afterwards, the two eat [[sea-salt ice cream]] together.

After hearing mysterious cries from the castle and rumors of human experimentation, Isa and Lea sneak into the castle to investigate. Eventually, they find their way to the [[Heartless Manufactory]] and encounter an amnesiac girl, [[Subject X]], in one of the cells.{{storylink|Secret Report 5}} They befriend the girl and make plans to help her escape, but she disappears before they have a chance to. In order to locate her, they decide to become apprentices to Ansem the Wise.{{storylink|Secret Report 6}}

When Dilan, [[Even]], [[Aeleus]], [[Ienzo]], and Lea awaken in Radiant Garden, they notice Braig and Isa's absence, and Lea ventures out to search for them.

By the time [[Sora]] and [[Riku]] reach [[The World That Never Was]], Isa has once again become his Nobody, Saïx. When Lea attempts to retrieve Sora, he is attacked by Saïx.

After the defeat of Xehanort, with Saïx having been destroyed once again, Isa is restored to his original form. Isa meets with Lea, [[Roxas]], [[Xion]], [[Hayner]], [[Pence]], and [[Olette]] at the [[Twilight Town]] clocktower and the group eats sea-salt ice cream together. Afterwards, Isa meets with the [[Guardians of Light]] and their friends on [[Destiny Islands]] and plays frisbee with Lea and Ventus. Isa then joins everyone in watching Sora and [[Kairi]] share a moment before Sora fades away.

==Design==

As a teenager, Isa has turquoise eyes and bright blue hair, most of which is swept back into upward spikes, save for a section by each ear cut at about nose-length. His hair is neck-length in the back. He wears a high-collared navy blue jacket with elbow-length sleeves that is half-unzipped from the bottom, revealing a black undershirt. The jacket has a ridged, light blue collar, cuffs, and bottom hem, and a light blue stripe going along the shoulders to the ends of his sleeves. A yellow waning crescent moon symbol is prominently displayed on the left breast of the jacket, referencing Saïx's attribute in Organization XIII. Isa also wears white pants, a silver belt, and black shoes with grey trim. He wears silver stud earrings.

He seems to be about the same age as Lea and Ventus. 

Upon his revival in Radiant Garden as an adult, Isa is physically identical to Saïx, with Saïx's amber eyes, pointed ears, and X-shaped scar on his face between his eyes. His hair is longer, extending to the top of his chest in the front and to his shoulder blades in the back. He wears the [[black coat]] of Organization XIII. 

After Xehanort's defeat, Isa is once again restored to his human form, this time with his eyes and ears returned to their original state, though he retains the X-shaped scar. He wears a high-collared, knee-length black duster jacket and black pants. His jacket has a short zipper on either side of the chest. A dark grey flap with a column of five buttons is attached to the right of a long middle zipper, which extends over halfway down the jacket. The sides and sleeves of his jacket and his pants have grey camouflage patterning along the sides. The left breast of his jacket has a gold medallion bearing a star and a waxing crescent moon. Isa also wears black shoes with grey camouflage trim along the bottom. This outfit may be based on a [https://www.fashion-press.net/news/19942 Roen-Gackt collaboration design], which it bears a high similarity to.

==Personality==
Like his Nobody, Saïx, Isa is mature and has no interest in siding with Lea on childish matters. However, Isa has much more tolerance towards Lea, as he smiles while Lea and Ventus squabble. Isa values his friendship with Lea, but he is rather sarcastic and does not hesitate to lightheartedly mock him after he loses his fight with Ventus. Isa jokingly claims that he has tried to forget about Lea and his antics on multiple occasions.

In Secret Report 6, it's revealed that Isa is capable of compassion and selflessness as shown by his offering comfort to his and Lea's new mystery friend whenever they visited her, and his strong desire to save her from her imprisonment as Xehanort's lab rat. When she vanished, Isa's desire to find and save her is so strong that it remains in his adult years, even during his time as Saïx.

Isa is also possessive of his friends, with his Nobody having admitted he was jealous of Axel making new friends with Roxas and Xion. Though in the end, after he was recompleted again, Isa chose to befriend the two as well; even getting ice cream for them.
