In the remake, about most of the strategies from the original game can be used, and Sora can have access to the [[Demyx]] card, the [[Lethal Frame]] sleight, and the [[Jafar]] Card which now takes effect on attack sleights.
In the remake, the same strategy as the original game can be used, but now Sora can have access to the [[Demyx]] card, the [[Lethal Frame]] sleight, and the [[Jafar]] Card which now takes effect on attack sleights.

If Sora has access to the [[Demyx]] Card, he can equip a deck full of Blizzard cards and keep pounding Axel with Blizzagas and use Mega-Ethers, preferably stacked with higher-valued cards to prevent card breaks and making it more likely that it'll be played, to reload them. Using Blizzaga in a chain can stunlock Axel for a while until Sora has to reload. This Enemy Card's duration is twice as that of the Blue Rhapsody Card and boosts Blizzard-elemental attacks and sleights further. If this card wears off or is unavailable, Sora can use a Blue Rhapsody card and keep repetitively using Blizzaga. The strategy involving the use of Blizzard Raid from a certain distance to land more hits cannot be used anymore and the sleight can only hit twice for a total damage that is inferior to one Blizzaga.

One other strategy involves using the Jafar Card and combine it with Ars Arcanum, with the three combined attack cards having a value of 6 at most.
