He is a member of Big Hero 6, alongside [[Hiro Hamada]], [[Baymax]], [[Go Go Tomago]], [[Wasabi]], and [[Honey Lemon]].

==Story==
===''Kingdom Hearts III''===
Hiro introduces Big Hero 6 to [[Sora]], [[Donald]] and [[Goofy]] in Hiro's garage. When the group realize that they are no match for the [[Heartless]], Fred compares it to when heroes fail against new, powerful foes in comics; the only solution for Big Hero 6 is to acquire new powers themselves in order to fight the Heartless.

In the city, Sora's [[Blizzard]] magic inspires Fred to use both fire and ice. He is later seen trying unsuccessfully to use ice and then fire in succession, then determining to use both at once for maximum efficiency.

While the nine of them enjoy the sunset and some chocolate ice cream bars on the golden gate bridge, Fred enthusiastically jumps around expressing how awesome their new powers are.

That night, a new robotic Heartless attacks. Fred names it the [[Darkubes]], due it being made of evil robotic cubes. Fred gets tapped in a sphere of the cubes, until Sora frees him. Confronting the Darkubes on a roof, the "supervillain" behind the attack appears: [[Dark Riku]]. Fred is knocked out of a caged cubes and left severely exhausted.

==Design==
Fred is a young man with chin-length brown hair and blue eyes. He has a long face and a large nose, and wears a teal beanie with a monster face on it. When fighting alongside Big Hero 6, he is completely concealed by a three-eyed blue and orange monster suit.

==Personality==
Fred is very upbeat and enthusiastic, often cracking jokes. He is quite talkative and cheerful and wants everyone else to be happy. He has a bit of an eccentric and nerdy attitude, often comparing things to obscure movies or comics, or other things like ''shugyo''. 

Ironically enough, Fred's obsession with  stories makes it easier for him to understand the explanation about [[the Heartless]]; saying fighting forces of darkness is "classic". Even outright predicting a "big bad" would eventually appear and gloat about the [[Darkubes]]' purpose.

Despite how unfocused he comes off, Fred is actually well-versed in science; knowing [[Fire]] and [[Blizzard]] are "diametrically opposed". Even quickly adapting from his blunder in using both by combining them.

==Origin==
Fred, whose full name is Frederick Frederickson IV, first appeared in the 2014 Disney animated film ''Big Hero 6'', voiced by T.J. Miller. He is inspired by {{w|Fredzilla|Fred (Fredzilla)}} from Marvel Comics.

He is the school mascot of the San Fransokyo Institute of Technology and a friend of Tadashi Hamada. Unlike the others, he is not actually a student there, although he is still a major science enthusiast. After Tadashi dies in a mysterious fire, Fred helps Hiro avenge him by pursuing a mysterious thief wearing a kabuki mask who is theorized to have started the fire. Fred also comes from a wealthy background which helps the team create their gadgets.

His monster suit is designed after his favorite {{w|kaiju}}, a fictional being known as Krogar.
