Forum:Another Roxas, Ven, and Sora theory- the memory pods
Okay, this is a little far-fetched, admittedly, and I'm not altogether sure as to how it would work, but I came up with this theory today and I felt the need to share it with a community that might be able to help me either work out the kinks, or debunk it.
Ever notice how, when you examine the empty pods in the room where Goofy and Donald slept, it says something along the lines of “This looks like it hasn't been used in a while”? I have my suspicions that something happened to Ven (and who knows, maybe the others, too) in the events of KH:BbS that caused him to have to be put to “sleep” in one of these pods- possibly the loss of his heart? I realize that up until now, we've only seen the pods used to help restore people's memories, but even the wiki page here says we're not really sure where they came from, or what their real purpose is.
Now, for the main bit. As I said before, I don't really know how (or if) this would work, but my theory is basically that when Sora sacrificed himself to save Kairi, his heart migrated into Ven's body, similar to how Kairi's heart migrated into his own. That's the only way I've been able to make sense of the fact that Roxas and Ven are completely identical, physically.
My best guess as to why this would have happened is that because Namine was born from Sora's body and soul, he wasn't able to make an actual Nobody of his own. Maybe his heart was drawn to Ven because of the fact that they are both keyblade wielders? This would explain the emphasis on Roxas seeming like he had a heart, although it wouldn't make him a true Nobody. However, I believe it has been said that both Namine and Roxas are not “true” Nobodies. It could also explain why Roxas wields two keyblades- one for Ven and one for Sora. Although if this is the case, I can see Oathkeeper as representing Sora, but I'm not sure why the second keyblade would be Oblivion instead of Ven's, other than Roxas's obvious dark/light theme.
Now for the flaws. The biggest issue I'm having with this is that I don't know how it could actually work. I mean, if Namine is made up of Sora's body and soul, and Roxas/Ven is in possession of his heart, what does that leave him? How was he able to exist at all after releasing his and Kairi's hearts? As of right now, the theory relies on the fact that we're missing vital information which we'll get through KH:BbS.
Another small issue is why Ven wouldn't have formed his own Heartless and Nobody if he did indeed lose his heart, but I think that's something we wouldn't have any way of knowing until the game is released. I mean, we never even saw one single, solitary little Dusk in the whole of KH1, and yet supposedly there's a Nobody for every Heartless. SE loves their secrets and twists.
I'll be the first to admit, it's a lot of speculation, and there are some major problems, but I think the theory at least merits some discussion. Does it make sense to anybody but me? Personally, while I like my theory, I think it's probably going to end up being the Unbirth theory. But I wanted to share this anyway. Sorry it's so long! I hope that's okay.

Who put Ven (and maybe the others) in the pods? Why did Sora's heart go to Ven's body? Sora's heart turned into a heartless. Kairi's heart went to Sora's body to protect him from the heartless that attacked him at the Destiny Islands. Her heart did this because Kairi cared so much about Sora. Sora doesn't even know Ven. Namine was born from Kairi's heart leaving Sora's body. He did make a nobody. That nobody was Roxas. Why are hearts attracted to Keyblade warriors? Even if Roxas came from Sora's heart and Ven's body combined, it wouldn't explain why Roxas acts like he has a heart. Namine is a nobody. Nobodies are just the bodies of people who has strong hearts leave their bodies. As far as I know, there is no connection between souls and nobodies. His "existence" after he released his heart is because of Kairi. 18.104.22.168 22:29, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
