Synopsis
Sora immediately heads to the flowing Keyhole, finding a massive Heartless. Suddenly, the beast is mysteriously destroyed. Cid appears, showing off his cannon that defeated the Heartless, with Leon, Yuffie, and Aerith in tow. Sora promptly seals the Keyhole, earning a small celebration. Leon explains that they were able to return to their home world with Cid's ship. Aerith continues, explaining that the complete Ansem Reports reveal that it was actually their renowed leader who created the Heartless. It was Ansem's research that made him lose his heart and body. Sora determines that it is this reason that Riku has been possessed. Sora asks about Ansem's whereabouts, learning that the villian has fled to the abyss of darkness beyond all worlds. Empowered, Sora boasts that he will defeat Ansem and return everything back to normal. Aerith sadly reveals that once the worlds are restored, they will be unable to see each other. Leon and Yuffie comment that they will never forget each other, and that their hearts will bring them together again.

The front page shows the Princesses of Heart, without Kairi. The back page shows Kairi's lucky charm.
Just as the group is about to leave, Kairi tells of her intentions of going with the group. Sora disagrees, stating that it is much too dangerous. Instead, Sora tells Kairi that their hearts are connected. As long as they think of each other, they are not alone. Kairi gives in, handing Sora her lucky charm. The group then leaves for the final world.

Story
The scene shifts to Riku, walking aimlessly down a dark path. A mysterious voice tells Riku that although he has lost his body, he has obtained the Keyblade "from this side." The voice finishes, stating that to seal the door to darkness, there must be two hearts and two keys.
Sora prepares to close the Keyhole, but a Behemoth emerges from it. However, the Behemoth is quickly defeated by Cid's new cannon. Sora seals the Keyhole, and is congratulated by Leon and the princesses. When Sora asks why Leon, Yuffie, Cid, and Aerith came, they explain Hollow Bastion used to be their home until it was attacked by the Heartless. They found the rest of Ansem's Report, which explains how Ansem researched the Heartless until they possessed him, making him lose his heart and body. When Sora asks where Ansem is, the princesses tell him about a great darkness that could swallow worlds.

Sora, Donald, and Goofy are ready to go and deal with Ansem, but Aerith informs them that the worlds will be separated again once they succeed, meaning they won't be able to see each other again. Leon says they'll never forget each other, and Yuffie claims their hearts will bring them together again. Sora, Donald, and Goofy leave, and Kairi plans to join them, but Sora objects, saying it's way too dangerous. He tells Kairi to just think about him and Riku, as that helped him when he got turned into a Heartless. Kairi gives in and hands Sora her lucky charm, making him promise to return it.
