As [[Sora]] tries reaching [[Monstro]] to free [[Pinocchio]] and [[Jiminy]] from within the massive beast, the Chill Clawbster attacks, freezing the whale. Realizing the danger it poses to his friends, Sora engages the monster in battle. In the end, the Chill Clawbster is swallowed by Monstro.

==Design==
The Chill Clawbster is a predominantly cyan, festive-colored lobster with the Nightmare Dream Eater symbol, purple dots and borders on the torso section of its carapace. Parts of its torso section are joined by what looks like white cartilage. It has four cyan limbs; the front limbs end in green and yellow pincers with pink bumps<!--?-->, while the hind limbs end in purple claws in the form of a triangle. These purple claws have yellow spikes, and originate from a black and yellow circular joint. It has a multicolored tail and tentacles. Its eyes are red with black borders.

"Kinkin" is Japanese onomatopoeia for freezing. Similarly, the Chill Clawbster is named for its ability to chill, or freeze, its enemies, while "Clawbster" is a portmanteau of "claw" and "lobster".

==Strategy==
The Chill Clawbster is particularly vulnerable on its behind or on its face. It attacks by spinning its pincers as it advances on Sora and firing bombs and lasers. It will frequently take to the skies and hover for a bit before slamming down on the arena, forcing Sora to keep up with either a well-timed jump, dodge roll, or block, followed up by a Counter Rush. Thunder attacks should be prioritized on this boss as it is its main weakness, instead of Fire. When its body glows green, the arena will darken, starting its '''Overboost''' mode, and it will take to the skies before attempting to skewer Sora with its pincers, summoning icicles underneath, and firing lasers. The boss hovers near the ground during this phase, so it is particularly vulnerable to projectiles, but will relentlessly try to back away from Sora, making short-ranged melee attacks almost useless. Sora should then try to attack with very long-ranged commands instead. Due to the Overboost mode making Chill Clawbster hard to reach and thus cannot be finished off fast, it is recommended that Sora starts the fight with a full Drop Gauge.

After reaching its final HP bar, the boss will use Heavy Pound and fly upwards beyond Sora's reach, exposing a glowing portion of Monstro's frozen body. Sora must destroy it and activate [[Bubble Burst]], which thaws out Monstro and encases him in a bubble, with Sora riding atop him. From there, Sora must chase the boss across the seas while it fires Rise Blades at Monstro. The bubble will pop if it takes too many hits, but the Retry option upon Game Over brings Sora back to this phase instead of the start of the fight. Once Monstro is close enough to the boss, Sora must use the Finish command to land the final blow.

The [[Secret Portal]] rematch omits the Monstro phase of the battle.
