'''[[World Card]]s''' are once again utilized in the game's final world, Castle Oblivion, as a means of accessing higher floors.  Unlike in ''Chain of Memories'' and its remake, the effects of World Cards do not completely transform the appearance of individual floors to reflect the world on the card, but rather appear as two-dimensional illusions on the walls.

'''[[Ending Card]]s''' While they don't play a large role in the game, cards are also present in Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. They are used at the very end of the game, when Data-Sora has reached Castle Oblivion. The cards are used to travel to different parts of Castle Oblivion based on worlds the player has visited before. They are very similar to Kingdom Hearts:Chain of Memories, except for the fact that there are 3 ending cards for each world.
