In the film, the little girl manages to find her way into the Monsters, Inc. company building from her bedroom and encounters top scarer [[James P. Sullivan]] while he is recovering Mike's paperwork after-hours. She escapes into the city of Monstropolis as chaos erupts over the fear that monsters have of human children (humans are treated as physically toxic sources of scream energy by the citizens and Monsters Inc. workers), attracting the attention of the Child Detection Agency (CDA). As Sulley and Mike keep her hidden in order to eventually return her to the human world, they find out that she is not only non-toxic, but that her laughter generates more power than the scream power the company has been using for years to power the city. During this time, Sulley grows attached to her and nicknames her "Boo", much to Mike's annoyance. | In the film, the little girl manages to find her way into the Monsters, Inc. company building from her bedroom and encounters top scarer [[James P.
