The Black Guards debuted in ''{{w|Tron: Legacy}}''. Like Tron, they were all reprogrammed to serve as CLU's army and henchmen, but they can act like normal programs when not on duty, as several guards are seen relaxing in the ''End of Line'' club. Many appeared on the Rectifier during CLU's speech about invading the userworld to perfect it. Flynn managed to reprogram one (by tampering with his Identity Disk, then hitting him in the head) to allow him to steal a Fighter Jet. It's unknown what happened to the Black Guards following the destruction of the Portal and CLU.
