It creates a wind barrier around the target that halves any damage taken while it is active; however, if the casting animation is interrupted by an enemy attack, the damage from that hit will not be reduced. Aero magic costs 2 [[MP]] to use.

The duration of the barrier is determined by the following formula:

Aerora and Aeroga create more powerful barriers which also inflict damage to enemies on contact. The barrier created by Aeroga also deflects certain attacks.
