What led me to think of this was the Dead Fantasy series - I reckon you've watched it already - it's a cross between Dead or Alive and Final Fantasy (with perhaps, a hint of Kingdom Hearts thrown in). Do you know how to use IPA? Trwa - If the "r" and "w" sounds are both emphasised, it will be "toruwa". If the "r" sound is emphasised, it's "Tora". If the "w" sound is emphasised, it will be "Towa". Nyx - "nikkusu". Slight mistake in my first transcription, sumimasen ^^;. Etienne - "エティエン" is pronounced "Eh - ti - ehn". The kana for "ne" is "ネ", so "エティエネ" is "Etiene". Unless you mean there is no "n" sound at the end at all? If so, just drop the last kana. "To - roo - wa - nik - koo - soo - eh - ti - ehn". Say it quickly, with even timing for each syllable. You can shorten the "soo" sound to "s" if you like. By the way, do you happen to have a deviantART account? Mine is located here if you'd like to take a look. ^_^ Oh, and I noticed that our talk templates are rather similar. Funny, eh?

"チ" is pronounced "chi". Since we're transliterating a word into Japanese "ティ" is used to represent the sound of "ti", even though it doesn't actually exist in Japanese. Note that this is using Hepburn romanisation (the more common one), rather than Kunrei (official, but less used). Erm...I seem to have been distracted by my love of languages ^^;. To answer your question, both are correct, but "ティ" is more faithful to the original pronounciation. You found my template on the FF wiki? Are you a user there?

Yes, I'm a user there, albeit a rather inactive one, though I've been doing minor edits to the Final Fantasy X and X-2 pages based on what I know. I'm more well-versed with the Kingdom Hearts universe. P.S. The French sung "ne" is pronounced similarly to the Japanese "nu".
