I don't know if it's a glitch or what but I can't comment on your newest blog. But if I could, I'd say that I think that making friends is the best part about wikia. I'll remember you. I feel closer to the people on this wiki than to my friends at school. In my opinion, what's the point of it unless you're making friends? Just wanted to tell you that people will remember you.

I came here because I love Kingdom Hearts and because I was lonely. I wanted friends that I had something in common with, and I got them. That's why I'm here. That's why I'm still here. We came here together to make the wiki better. That's the whole point of getting members. When Sir GS tells me we're not here to make friends, he make it sounds like it's wrong to do it. It's okay to have friends as long as you work on the wiki. I like Sir GS, but he scares me...

TALK - Here's your cat...and here's your $20...00:05, October 22, 2009 (UTC) Here's my philosophy on wikis and making friends (not that anyone asked for it, but too bad ^_-). I think it's only natural for people to gravitate to each other in a social situation, real life, internet, or otherwise. It is especially true when people have things in common; in our case, we all enjoy Kingdom Hearts. Therefore, no matter how hard you try, social situations are going to develop; friendships are going to be formed, communities will develop and so on. I think what drives GS and Kryten crazy (and to a much lesser-extent, Azul and myself) is when the only addition anyone is making is in the social circles. As much as we like each other and get along, the purpose of the wiki is the wiki itself. If the wiki focus is lost, it makes it hard for those serious about editing the content to do so because they're too busy handling the more negative aspects of relationships, such as breaking up fights, handling troublemakers, and so on. During the whole affair with she-who-shall-not-be-mentioned, I came on to work on articles and instead spent all my free time blocking and warning and calming people down, and it wasn't that fun for me. However, I think it's useless to try and fight a social wiki. Much as I would like people to make more wiki edits, I know if you try and strike it down, it ends up being completely counterproductive and will come back to bite you in the Large Body. Plus, I like you people. ^_^ That's why we've been working hard to implement things like IRC so the people here with social interest have somewhere to gather without bothering the more serious editors. Wikia is working on a BBS-style forum function, and if it works the way I'm hoping, it will be even nicer for the community-oriented among us. In short, don't feel bad about wanting to be social here; it's human nature. If you are afraid you'll "mess up" an article or something if you contribute, there's no need to worry because you really can't; someone may come along and change it, but that doesn't mean your contribution wasn't wanted. And even if you don't have much time, little things need to be fixed all the time (spelling, bad grammar, redirected links, etc.), and actually help us out a ton in the end by making the wiki a more reliable resource.

Good enough?

Hey I saw that the Land of Departure had a tag that said "In need of a better picture" because it was just a screenshot from the world. I found a pic that is the world's banner, like for all of the other world pages. My only concern, is it too small of a picture? I'll put up a bigger one later, but for now that's the best I can do without making it horrible quality. So is that okay for now? kevin 01:45, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
