Sonic Blade

Sonic Blade is one of Sora's special abilities in Kingdom Hearts, it is learned after Sora defeats Cerberus the first time and after he comforted Cloud, which Cloud in return grants him this ability. Although it is listed as one of Sora's special abilities, Cloud is also capable of executing a stronger version of Sonic Blade. Later, several forms in Kingdom Hearts II, have similar ability, such as Over the Horizon and Sonic End. Sora can also execute Sonic Blade in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix through Limit Form.

Description: A fast forward lunge where Sora runs past and damages enemy in range.
Effect: When close to an enemy, the command table's last box will appear the word Sonic Blade (provided you've equipped it) by selecting it Sora will make and fast forward pierce on the closest enemy in range. After the first strike, the last command box will turn into Rave. Pressing it will allow Sora to execute another faster pierce, Rave will appear three times provided that you managed to connect the combo. Once three Raves is executed, Blast will replace the last command box, by pressing it, the screen darkens and Sora executes a large forward dash pierce, damaging all foes opposing the direction and ending the combo.

Trivia

• Like some of Sephiroth's attacks in Kingdom Hearts, the Sonic Blade attack makes an appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy as one of Cloud's Brave attacks.
