Lumière

Lumiere is a character from Beauty and the Beast and also Kingdom Hearts II.

In the first Kingdom Hearts game, his world was destroyed and Belle was captured, and Beast went on a journey to find her. It is believed that Lumiere and his friends disappeared when their world was attacked by the Heartless.

After the events of Kingdom Hearts, the world of Beast's Castle, Beast locked his servants in the dungeons after Xaldin came and tried to turn him into a Heartless. When Sora and the others came, they freed the servants and helped them save Beast from turning into a Heartless. Lumiere and the others showed them a short cut to the Beast's room.

When Belle and Beast try to form a party to forget about what happened, Xaldin attacked again, and stole the Beast's precious rose. Then Lumiere, Cogsworth and Mrs. Potts told the heroes about the importance of the rose - Beast's last hope of finding love before the last petal falls from the rose.

He will appear in Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, showing that he gets confronted by Xaldin and Roxas.

The castle's maitre d'. He became a candlestick when an enchantress put a spell on the castle. Lumiere has a way with words and can be quite a charmer.

Trivia

- Lumiere's name is the French word for "light", apt for his role as a candlestick. It may be a reference to the Lumière brothers who created the first moving pictures.
