Problem is, most of those red links are in User pages and in User talk pages/archives. I don't like to go around editing other user's stuff without permission so I ask the community: Do you mind if I edit your user pages and/or user talk pages and archives to get rid of those red links so they don't appear in the Wanted pages list?

Don't get rid of red links! Those represent articles that need to be made, and might prod a user to make them. Removing red links can also create walled gardens. The exceptions to this are articles that will never be made, incorrect/dup links and broken redirect links.
