No Keyblade in KH1 has an ability...Those are what they were listed as back then...For example, Olympia has the "Counter" ability, it just says "Hard to deflect. Counter with a swift strike for blocking enemy blows," or something like that. The point is, that's just how they wrote abilities in KH1. So they do effect gameplay, in a way...never noticed critical blows, but the damage retains itself...}}

In Kingdom Hearts, most of the weapons have hidden boosts besides strength and MP. The only ones I've seen actual numbers for are "Critical Rate", "Critical Power", "Kick", "Size", and the magic boost that accessories also have, but the only numbers I can find are for the Final Mix weapons. I think "Kick" might have something to do with deflection, but there's also something to do with the following:
  • "string of critical blows"
  • "difficult to deflect"
  • "heightens magic power"
  • "can also be used for physical attacks"
  • "deals good physical damage"
  • "best suited for defense"

I'm unsure whether these actually effect gameplay, or are merely descriptive. If anyone can find out more about these (possibly in Ultimania), that would be really helpful.
