Dark Maelstrom (ダークメイルストロム, Dāku Meirusutoromu) is a technique that appears in Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories. It allows Riku to unleash a powerful spinning attack on one enemy.

Mechanics

In Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain Of Memories, Dark Maelstrom is a Duel Sleight that can be used by Riku while in Dark Mode. Riku rushes toward the enemy and starts a spinning attack with two energy blades on him, after which he joins both swords in one and does a powerful upward slash.

Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories

• Riku can use Dark Maelstrom after defeating Ansem for the first time and gaining access to Dark Mode.
  • Riku has to win a Card Duel in which he has to break five cards of his enemy.
