Possible journal error?

On the first and second Kingdom hearts game, Chip and Dale are said to be "partners", the original Chip and Dale are said to be partners as well, and now on BbS they're brothers? The17master

As far as I know, it's never been confirmed one way or another by Disney. We know that they have a common grandfather, so they are related, but we don't know for sure that they're brothers. I think it's best to go with brothers, however, because of the BbS journal... and partners can be brothers too, so assuming that they're brothers doesn't make the first journals incorrect.
