Permanent save points will always be there no matter what the situation. they are green colored with a green cricle shining below the character, and a light emiting when you touch them. These save points allow you to use the [[Gummi Ship]], to move to other worlds, and also heal you on contact with them (if you have any health lost that is). It should be noted, that save points does not reload drive gauge.
Type A Save Points remain throughout the game, regardless of how far the player has progressed in the storyline. In additionion to the regular features of the Save Points, Type As also serve as a link between the [[Gummi Ship]] and the world currently being visited, meaning that once activated (by touching them for the first time), one can teleport from the Save Point to the Gummi Ship and vica versa. In Kingdom Hearts II, these may become temporarily inaccessable because of the storyline, and will have to be re-activated later on.

Temporare save points have a green swirly shape hovering above the ground. You cannot access the Gummi Ship, you are healed, and more than likely these will be gone after the next cutscene. These are normally used before boss battles.
Type B Save Points are in some cases only temporary and will therefor sometimes disappear as the player progresses in the storyline. Unlike the Type A Save Points, these do not serve as links to the Gummi Ship. They still have all the other functions of a Save Point though.

The save points in [[Kingdom Hearts II]] are sometimes unable to be accessed, because of story plot. Sometimes, they cannot be accessed by Gummi Ship, even after the end of the story, so you have to find them on foot, and then they will be restored.

Save Points (also called Save Spots) are places within worlds that Sora, Riku, and any character that is controlled can save the progress they have made in their travels as well as fully restore their HP and MP and give the player a chance to organize the party. Save Points are dispersed throughout the worlds, usually every three or four rooms, as a tracker.

In Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II

Save Points are divided into two types; Type A and Type B.

Type A Save Points remain throughout the game, regardless of how far the player has progressed in the storyline. In additionion to the regular features of the Save Points, Type As also serve as a link between the Gummi Ship and the world currently being visited, meaning that once activated (by touching them for the first time), one can teleport from the Save Point to the Gummi Ship and vica versa. In Kingdom Hearts II, these may become temporarily inaccessable because of the storyline, and will have to be re-activated later on.

Type B Save Points are in some cases only temporary and will therefor sometimes disappear as the player progresses in the storyline. Unlike the Type A Save Points, these do not serve as links to the Gummi Ship. They still have all the other functions of a Save Point though.

In Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories

In Chain of Memories, save points are accessed through a card known as "Moment's Reprieve". They can be used in any room except for story and boss rooms. Save points are also found on each floor of Castle Oblivion

Gummi Ship

In Kingdom Hearts II, Gummi Ships can be used as Save Points, just by pressing Start, and Saving Progress.
