Jafar ~~tries~~ to ~~find the one who can~~ enter the Cave of Wonders ~~but~~ after his last attempt he ~~loses~~ a piece of the Golden Scarab~~, he~~ comes across the [[Player]] ~~who asks them~~ to ~~find~~ it. When Player returns ~~and~~ the cave rises ~~then~~ Jafar ~~pushes them~~ to go in and retrieve the lamp but the Cave of Wonders guardian iterates that only the "diamond in the rough" may enter~~, casting~~ Player ~~out~~ into the desert ~~in the process. Seeing that Player was not the one and must be patient as they prepare~~ to ~~seek out~~ the ~~"diamond in the rough"~~.

In his pursuit for the magic lamp Jafar searches for someone to enter the Cave of Wonders since after his last attempt he lost a piece of the Golden Scarab. He comes across the [[Player]] whom he requests to go and retrieve it. When the Player returns the cave rises and Jafar urge the Player to go and retrieve the lamp, but the Cave of Wonders' guardian iterates that only the "diamond in the rough" may enter. The Player is then cast away into the desert thus revealing he wasn't this special someone to enter the cave.

By using the Sands of Time, Jafar figures out that Aladdin is the "diamond in the rough" that can enter the Cave of Wonders, ~~then~~ he sends the palace guards to imprison him.
