When I was picking my username, I wanted something that wouldn't assign me to any one particular series, since I have some ''really'' diverse interests. I've always liked gemstones (since I was a kid and for no reason I can discern), so I wanted that to be part of it. I was on an Egyptian mythology high at the time, and I knew that lapis lazuli was frequently used by Egyptians, so that's where the Lapis half came from.
