As for you, Fae, I'll stick up or maggosh here. I "discreetly" read your and TNE's conversation, and you are being a bit stubborn. Trois is right. Maggosh isn't the type of person to just spam the IRC. He is honest, and, frankly, feels terrible about what's happening. I think you should take it up as a channel operator to show a bit of decencyy and just let the whole thing drop. Frankly, you're making what could be so simple into kind of a big argument... It could be "(maggosh spams due to lagging server) 'op: Don't spam! [WARNING]' 'maggosh: Sorry! My server was lagging! It happens!' 'op: Lagging server? ...okay, just be careful next time. Sometimes, servers lag. When this happens, don't have a "..." panic, just wait for it to reload. [DEWARN]'" Problem solved. These tings can be avoided if we just put some trust in users, and maybe give the user a bit of guidence. Let's not turn it into a big fight where users threaten to leave. No one wants that! Never has someone been '''seriously''' wronged when he insists on a certain set of facts and relies on them. The key to interrogation is always to rely on what the person insists to be the facts, thus knowing that he speaks the truth. If he shifts stories everytime, then we know he's lying. Now, twice, perhaps even thrice, I have been told by Maggosh and by other users that he was experiencing lag. From all that I learned in negotiation, those are telltale signs of truth. | |||
