Scar in The Lion King.

Scar is a lion villain from Disney's The Lion King .

History

Scar (so-named after the scar trailing from the top of his left eye to the bottom) was the younger brother of the Pride Land's king, Mufasa. He was always jealous of his brother, and had plans to betray Mufasa and take over the land. These plans were put into action in The Lion King.

The movie

In The Lion King, Scar's nephew, Simba, is a young boy. His evil plans involve killing Mufasa (Which he does in a wildebeast stampede) and ridding the Pride Lands of Simba. after the death of Mufasa, he sends his lackeys, Shenzi, Banzai and Ed the hyenas, off to kill Simba. They chase him to a large thorn valley, where they lose him and he escapes. Scar tells the lions of Pride Rock that Simba killed Mufasa, which everyone reluctantly believes. Scar then becomes the ruthless leader of the Pride Lands, forcing a union between the lions and the hyenas. After several years, this results in the lands wasting away under Scar's rule and all the food disappearing. Scar is oblivious to this, and will not swallow his pride and admit his fault. Simba, after a thoughtful conversation with both Nala and Rafiki, returns to Pride Rock to take his rightful crown. He forces Scar to admit that he killed Mufasa, and then a great battle between the lions and the hyenas ensues. In the midsts of this battle, Simba and Scar fight at the oeak of Pride Rock, clawing and biting each other. Scar, in a desperate feat, lies that it was the hyenas fault. That they were the evil ones. Simba, seeing through the lie, hits Scar down off the side of the peak. Weak and injured, Scar calls for hyenas' assistance. The hyenas, hearing what he said before bout them, attack Scar. Only the silihouttes of Scar and the hyenas are seen in this scene, but it is probable that they devoured him. In the film, Scar is voiced by Jeremy Irons.

Kingdom Hearts II

Kingdom Hearts II lays host to the story of Scar's rule over the Heartless. Scar teams up with Pete to control the Heartless as a way to rule his kingdom with discipline. Scar is the ruler of the Pride Lands, and when he first meets Sora, Donald and Goofy at Pride Rock, he wishes to eat them, as there is little food in the Pride Lands. The trio escape and convince Simba to return to Pride Rock. When he does, they discover that Scar has been possessed and has become a Heartless. A boss battle ensues, with Sora and the gang victorious. In Part 2 of the game, Scar appears as a dark ghost of shadow, who follows Simba, taunting him and saying he will never be a king. The ghost lives as long as Simba has doubt in his heart. He eventually defeats this doubt by battling the Groundshaker, and the ghosts disappear. In the game, Scar is voiced by James Horan.
