Master Eraqus appears as a boss in Terra's storyline after the Keyblade wielder rescues Ventus from an assassination attempt made by Eraqus, Terra forced to battle his master to the death. During battle, Eraqus will use many quick lunging attacks, able to land many hits before the combo finisher. He also has several desperation attacks, each based off of the light element. Though Eraqus has great strength, Terra's dark powers prove to be more of a match for him, and he is eventually defeated.
