Editing Talk:Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts

It could list stuff like "Heart", "Body", "Mind", "Keyblade", "Bequeathing". Even though they have their own pages, the list can still include them with a link. Some games have glossaries for different terms (KH3D definitely) so we could try using that as a guide maybe? {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 22:56, 31 August 2015 (UTC)

::::I'm just going to say that I'm of the opinion that certain things like "Bequeathing," which have enough information to fill their own articles, do not need to appear on the list. Rather, the page should host only terms that only have a sentence of information to provide. We can then delete or redirect the terms' articles. One can only say so much about "RTC." The more generic we get, the more problems we'll have. For instance, why would "Keyblade" be allowed, but not "Claymore" or "Scythe?" Pretty much every insignificant term in the series would have to appear on this page. But if we're having a "list of ''Kingdom Hearts'' terms "page, it needs to be comprehensive and if we omit key terms that already have pages, there will be huge gaps. It's usually not a good idea to get rid of stubs by splicing them all onto an article; we should consider the function of the new article and that's listing every significant KH term relevant to the plot. "Scythe" is not relevant to the story, while the Keyblade is a major plot device in every game. Admittedly, the selection of each term is an arbitrary process, but isn't that what happens on the Symbols list too? ::The thing is: while terms like "Keyblade" are important to the series, when people are looking for Keyblade (either by searching or by link), they'll go to the Keyblade page and not to the "list of Kingdom Hearts terms" page. :::I don't see why that really matters. If someone is looking for the Keyblade and go to the Keyblade page, good on them. But "Keyblade" is a KH term and thus should be mentioned on the List of KH terms. There's really no harm in having an extra link with a quick definition. It doesn't have to go into detail; the actual article serves that job. ::::I'm with TheSilentHero. While it is true that "Keyblade" is an important term, linking to a list page and then linking to an article and vice versa is unnecessarily complicated. When I said I vote "yes" to creating the list of terms page, I meant a terms page that lists the things we can't write detailed articles on. You use the words "'Keyblade' is a KH term and thus should be mentioned…", but "Scythe" (as an example) is also a KH term. It just doesn't make sense to have a list of KH terms page and end up only having "RTC" and "Reconnect. Kingdom Hearts" on it (because there are very few other terms aside from those). I don't see how it's complicated; the "List of KH terms" page lists "Keyblade". There's not much else to it. And concerning "Scythe", as I said before, it's not relevant to the story. And using the same argument, why shouldn't the list contain things like "ship" or "lamp", both of which are terms in Kingdom Hearts and do not have pages themselves. Anyway, from here, I think the best thing to do is put it to a vote. Are there any other opinions out there? ::I'm not saying "Scythe" is story-relevant (aside from the fact that Marluxia wields one). The point is that you would need to list every arbitrary term. "Memory Pod," "Card," "Skateboard," "Trophy," "Munny," and even things like "HP" and "MP" (gameplay terms should be included to, no?) would need to be included. ::::If we're voting, then I agree with FifteenMember. It's not a complicated process, after all. Depending on the amount of information present for each item is what I think should determine to move the it to said terms page or leave in its own article and just a link posted in the terms page.

:::::That one has a special in-game purpose, so I'm uncomfortable with revising it (and it should probably get the document header), but the general format is definitely good, at least. I don't think we need to make this an index for the entire franchise, and anything that already has an article can probably be linked in a "See also" rather than by taking up space. The [[KHWiki:Glossary]] (or perhaps [[Kingdom Hearts (series)/Glossary]] should really only cover stuff like phrases that fundamentally can't be covered as topics.{{User:KrytenKoro/Sig}} 17:42, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
