| The core Heartless releases a heart when slain, in the manner of Emblem Heartless, despite its body having no emblem. Barrel Spiders and Pot Spiders act the same way, and are classified as Emblem Heartless. Draconai (talk) 19:43, 26 February 2019 (UTC)

| The core releases a heart upon defeat, but the majority of the cubes are just fall to the ground and dissipate. For comparison, I'm fairly certain the individual pots that make up the Pot Centipede all release individual hearts if destroyed. Perhaps the cubes are some other thing that a Heartless is controlling from within? Even the core itself appears to shed cubes as the heart is released. --JeruTz (talk) 19:42, 6 June 2023 (UTC)
