Heard about the new magazine hosted on KHWiki.com and The Keyhole and want to get involved in writing it? Here at the '''Journalist Spot''', you can give us ideas and article entries that we can use in our next issue.
<!--<center><font color=red><big><big>'''Issue #10's Journalist Spot is being held over at The Keyhole. [[khwikia:Kingdom Hearts Wiki:Journalist Spot|Head over there to get involved!]]'''</big></big></font></center>-->

<center><big>'''''{{Countdown|July 01 2016 00:00}} until the release of the next issue.'''''</big></center>
Here's how it works: To begin with, you must be a registered user with a minimum of 100 edits in the mainspace (check [[Special:Editcount|here]]). Once you have that, you can post an article that you wrote or, if you don't have the time to do that, you can post your ideas so that others can use them and turn them into an article. This can be done by sharing your ideas, drafts and work to the relevant section below.

Heard about the new magazine hosted on the KHWiki and the Keyhole and want to get involved? Here at the '''Journalist Spot''', you can share ideas and help us work towards the release of our next issue.
==Cover==
'''What is required''':
*A magazine cover drawn by hand or computer.

==How It Works==
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
<big>To begin with, you must be a registered user on both Wikis with a minimum of either '''300 total edits''' at the KHWiki (check [[Special:Editcount|here]]) ''or'' '''100 total edits''' at the Keyhole (check [http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Special:Editcount here]).</big>

Once you have that, you can sign-up to do any of the below but remember that it is '''your''' responsibility to complete anything you have signed up to at least a week before release. Fortunately, there's plenty of help along the way! Once you've signed up to something, you can share ideas about your topic below in the "Discussion" section. Then, other users will feedback and develop your ideas by giving their own thoughts and opinions so that you have enough inspiration to write your entire piece. If you are doing an interview, debate battle or podcast, work with your partner(s) at an off-Wiki location, such as the IRC or by email.
==Trinity Archives==
'''What is required''':
*A Kingdom Hearts news summary. Note that this needs to be done towards the end of the quarter year so that we can cover recent information.

After you have a first draft, email it to "'''kingdomheartswikibcrat@gmail.com'''" so that the Editor in Chief can review your work, fix any mistakes and give you any advice that you might need. Please refrain from posting any drafts on the wiki to prevent ruining the surprise and satisfaction at the end result. Remember to update your status in the sign-up section and again, ensure that you email your work at least a week before release so that there is time to fix any potential issues.
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''

The host for the Journalist Spot alternates every issue so you may need to visit The Keyhole if you want to get involved!
==Unlocking the Keyhole==
'''What is required''':
*A news summary of the The Keyhole. Note that this needs to be done towards the end of the quarter year so that we can cover recent information.

===Submission Etiquettes===
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
For the aid of the publisher, we now request everyone to observe the following etiquettes when you are submitting a piece of work:

;Coding
==The Door to Light==
Insert all the relevant coding in your email, including all images, font colors, formatting and links. Also insert the relevant parameters of your piece. For example, this is an example of a perfect riddle submission:
'''What is required''':
|gridriddle1=Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet
*A news summary of khwiki.com. Note that this needs to be done towards the end of the quarter year so that we can cover recent information.
|gridriddle1answer=consectetur adipiscing elit
|gridriddle1author=Cicero
Two templates have been made to handle links: [[Template:KHWiki]] and [[Template:Keyhole]]. These works by using the following parameters (this uses the KHWiki template as an example but the Keyhole is the same):
<nowiki>{{KHWiki|LINK DESTINATION|DISPLAYED LINK (optional)|HEX CODE FOR FONT COLOR (optional)}}</nowiki>
Example:
<nowiki>{{KHWiki|Donald Duck|Donald|#00000}}</nowiki>
Never use basic <nowiki>[[ ]]</nowiki> links unless you know that both Wikis have the page that you're linking to!

Make sure all property names (e.g. "''Kingdom Hearts''") are in italics!
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''

;Content
==The Coliseum==
Allude to both Wikis as much as possible with links and mentions, unless your section is specific to one Wiki.
'''What is required''':
*A battle nomination similar to the Mirage Arena.
*Two users with opposing opinions.

;Images
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
Check that any images you use are available on both wikis under the same name. If not, mention in your email what the different file names are. If your image needs to be uploaded, send it as an attachment so that the editor can upload it later.

;Due Date
==The Keyblade Master==
It is vital that you submit your work before at least a week before the next issue is set to be released so that '''a)''' the publisher has time to add it into the rest of the magazine and '''b)''' there is time to fix any issues that there may be.
'''What is required''':
*A complete article with any topic. This can include theories, analysis, speculation etc.

==Discussion==
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
{{TheFifteenthMember|time={{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 16:38, 24 April 2016 (UTC)|default="Okay, the magazine is getting to the point where it's becoming an annoying thing to do rather than something fun that'll get more people interested in the wiki." I've had this reaction from several people over the last three months, including myself, so it's high time we find some ways to cut down on the amount of work needed to produce the magazine so that it's more manageable.

I think that we should cut our 13 page issue down into something like 7 pages, removing all the boring, useless bits that no one seems to like contributing. Maybe making what needs to go in the magazine more flexible so for example, if no one does an interview, it's fine because someone else did a Top 5 for that page.
==Dive to the Heart==
'''What is required''':
*A comprehensive game tutorial
*A understandable wiki tutorial.

Aixon suggested making it bi-monthly. At first, I was against this but now I've changed my mind and I support this.
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
*Nomination: I wrote a draft for the wiki tutorial [[User:TheFifteenthMember/Workshop|here]] but it needs a lot of work. {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 14:23, 20 April 2014 (UTC)

Thoughts?}}
==Round Room==
{{TheSilentHero|time=17:28, 24 April 2016 (UTC)|gren=I agree with cutting down the content. I was thinking of making basically everything optional, so we can use what has been done and leave out the rest. I'm not sure if making it bi-monthly will help. If we halve the content we use, but double the amount of issues released, we may end up with the same problems.
'''What is required''':
*An agenda of things to talk about on the podcast.
*A crew of people willing to take part in recording the podcast.

Aside from that, the magazine is looking great!}}
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
Sorry, I meant halfly (twice a year). {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 20:00, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
*'''Sign-up''': ''Sign your name here if you want to take part in the recording.''
:In that case, I think we should either reduce the content or the amount of issues, but not both. {{User:TheSilentHero/Sig}} 20:46, 24 April 2016 (UTC)

{{Chainoffire|time={{User:Chainoffire/sig}} 03:51, 25 April 2016 (UTC)|normal=Well, I say that we try reduced content first, and if it's still a hassle, then we go to half-year issues. But, the choice is ultimately up to you, do you feel like doing this again in July?
==Mark of Mastery Exam==
'''What is required''':
*A "Top 5 List".
*A review.
*An interview between an interviewer and another editor.

Quick Note: the hover template parameters are switched on each wiki.
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''
:Keyhole: <nowiki>{{hover|hidden|appearing}}</nowiki>
*Nomination: I done a "Top 5 List" [[User:TheFifteenthMember/Workshop|here]]. {{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 14:23, 20 April 2014 (UTC)
:KHWiki: <nowiki>{{hover|appearing|hidden}}</nowiki> }}
{{TheFifteenthMember|time={{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 18:10, 25 April 2016 (UTC)|sad=As far as I go, I can't really commit to being Editor in Chief anymore without both factors being reduced. I'd be happy to let someone else take the job and only drop one factor though.

Oh yeah, I forgot about how annoying that hover template is. I think we could change the KHWiki's [[Template:Hover]] to match the Keyhole, but someone'd have to fix the 50 or so pages that use it, if anyone wants to take up that job.}}
==Naminé's Sketchbook==
'''What is required''':
*A piece of fanart.

{{Draaek|time={{User:Draaek/Sig}} 17:20, 12 May 2016 (UTC)|Dragon=Sorry to bring this up again but I think we should at least come to a conclusion before the mag ends up being forgotten.
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''

Honestly I agree with FM on reducing both. Lower amount of content means that we don't have to force ourselves into filling in what was left out but we all still have the pressure of coming up with the rest of the stuff on time, which I believe was the main issue we encountered. If we only lower the amount of issues we'll probably end up having the same content left out in need of someone to fill in regardless of how many time we have to do them.
==The Game Grid==
'''What is required''':
*A "What Heartless am I" silhouette image.
*A "Who am I?" puzzle.
*A riddle.

By lowering down both we can be way more flexible on the content that we put in and we can give more time to everyone to work on quality things rather than having to rush them (specially when most of us are in finals and all of that). Opinions?}}
'''Ideas, drafts and work:'''

==Flick Rush==
'''What is required''':
*A poll.
*Three tasks for KHWiki.com.
*Three tasks for the Keyhole.
*One game task.

{{TheFifteenthMember|time={{User:TheFifteenthMember/Sig1}} 19:41, 18 May 2016 (UTC)|default=Agreed with Draaek. We'd have to change the template to make everything optional and work out how to display sections if others are absent. A small issue is that if we start going twice a year now, the releases would always be in March and October, but it would make more sense for the magazine dates to lie on January (for the new year/end of year events) and July (hot off E3). That means we could either make an issue this July as usual then go with half yearly or just skip this issue, take a 9 month break and start the process in January. While the former is probably the preferable option, I (and most likely many others) will not be able to commit to the magazine so soon after the last one so unless there's someone willing to take the helm of Editor in Chief and there's enough people willing to write content, I'm afraid we might have to wait until January. Honestly, that might not actually be a bad thing because after a 9 month break, I'd be interested in seeing the good ideas that people will then come up with (although if KH3 release date gets announced this year, it'd be shame that we miss the issue).}}
