What I mean to say is, there is a specific time frame between the beginning of each little phase of the battle, and Xemnas pushing Sora and Riku out into the void. You can only do a specific amount of damage at a time, which is probably going to be one bar and a bit, tops. Try to inflict any more, and you'll find that your Keyblade passes right through him; you're attacking, but you're not doing any damage whatsoever. This leaves you wide open for attack. What's worse is that if you have Berserk Charge, it is effectively useless and leaves you like a f***ing sitting duck, and every hit he does is going to take ''half your HP off'', forcing you to use up your items more quickly.
