In ''Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix'', Xemnas's Ethereal Blade attacks have a wider hitbox, his second and subsequent uses of Invitation to Nothingness occur when reduced below 15% HP, and when struck by Invitation to Nothingness, Sora's HP only starts dropping when Xemnas moves to the building.

Regardless, Xemnas is far more aggressive with his blade attacks, and the DM version of his Dual Blade move gains the ability to track Sora even in midair, making it hard to glide away from him as often unless Sora already has made distance. Critical Mode and/or Level 1 runs may often involve being easily chipped away to death if the player fails to foresee any of his moves due to him interchanging between Combo Attack and Dual Blade. While Combo Attack can be easily Reflected twice for free damage and an opening, it can be dangerous to see Dual Blade coming which can break the possible Revenge loop.
