I think the Sentiments and Silhouettes are supposed to be some sort of form of Ghosts but something completely the opposite st the same time, which would make sense for Larxene, Marluxia, Lexaeus, Zexion and Vexen ,and possibly the Vanitas Sentiment, as they all died. But Terra's soul is just moved into his armor briefly making the Lingering Sentiment which apparently has kept lift after Terra's soul went back into the new Xehanort's body to stop his control.
