Okay, the Japanese sites I've looked on only list two Mushroom weapons per Mushroom, plus the Premium and Limited, while the Gamefaqs boards claim each mushroom gives all four of either shield or staff.

I did find one Japanese website which seems to say that the shield or staff you get depends on your score, but it was kind of hard to make out what it was saying.

Can anyone with Final Mix verify whether I have the drop lists correct?

Symbol Character - Mickey.png
FA icon.png I've played Final Mix and yes, they drop all four depending on the score. After breaking my record for Mushrooms #2 and #5 several times, I must say Gamefaqs have a point. I had already received three Mushroom shields from Mushroom #2 - as far as I can remember...

The Japanese sites also have a point : only that, those are the most frequently dropped shields/staffs for the respective Mushrooms. (Darn, I've sold tons of them.)

Would you be able to handle the Reaction Command and strategy bits for this article?

Symbol - Magic Hat.png
FA icon.png Strategy, yes. Reaction command, no. Because my PS2 is under lockdown. I'll have to take a good look at the screens once more to do that.....

EDIT : I put some of the strategy bits in the Trivia section. I entrust the rest to you. =)

Normally, Jusan would be correct, but the name specifically uses XIII, not 十三

Got it. Thanks for letting me know. ^_^ Though I wonder why XIII機関 uses Jusan Kikan. Go figure.........

Meanwhile, think we should shift all the Mushroom screens to the right ? The text is pouring out. Literally.

Journal Entry-type thingsEdit

Nitrous X Talk! — Then I shall make you see...That your hopes are nothing. Nothing but a mere illusion!

Don't I even warrant a hello, Lexaeus?

I noticed that a couple of them have brief descriptions in italics, are these journal entries, or something else? And where can they be found for the other members of Mushroom XIII?

They are the mini-game tip that appears at the top when you attack. The journals, however, are available in a zip file I placed on the main talk page.

THE PICTURE...Edit

why does the mushrooms XIII have 13 pictures of the same heartless???74.233.43.216 20:00, April 16, 2010 (UTC) +lempicka+

Because that's pretty much what the Mushrooms XIII are. Plus, there are variations in size worth mentioning. Tamroc7 21:20, April 16, 2010 (UTC)

And if Xion were really planned back then, it'd still be 13 mushrooms because Xion and Roxas were meant to fuse, or one of them was meant to be eliminated.

Misbehaving MushroomEdit

Is there a prerequisite something that you have to do in order to spawn Mushroom I at the Memory Skyscraper? Every time I go there, only a bunch of Nobodies greet me and I'm getting tired of seeing them. I've gone as far as I can possibly go in the plot; only the final battle with Xemnas awaits me at the end. The other mushrooms don't seem to give me this problem; is anyone else experiencing it? If it helps, this is my first play through on Standard mode. 60.52.33.58 17:15, October 8, 2010 (UTC)

I'll help you out, because it seems no-one else wants to, even though it's a few years late. When it says "defeat Xemnas", it means "finish the game". At the Battle Report, it will prompt a game-save. Do so, and it will say it saved the game before final battle before stamping your file with a Completed icon (a crown) and dump you back at the Altar of Naught. Mushroom I is where specified. I was puzzling over this a lot too. 82.17.70.98 09:33, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Size if the mushroomsEdit

Even if they are scaled differently in the game the model stays the same (with the exception of the number on their back), that's why I think showing all 13 images separately is rather pointless. --ShardofTruth 23:53, 25 June 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I would prefer we just show the backs of the models in a gallery."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:35, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

I-XIIIEdit

Shouldn't we be using roman numerals since they have the roman numerals on the back of their coats? [1]  Chainoffire

No. 10?Edit

Is there something to be said about how No. X is apparently female, according to the Information scroll? --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 01:48, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

I made the same mistake of editing the mushroom's part to use female pronunciations. I recommend just leaving the page as it is and refer to her as if she's genderless. UxieLover1994 02:01, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
I don't think that's right. If it explicitly says that it's a female, than we should refer to the Mushroom as a female, no?  KeybladeSpyMaster   02:06, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

We don't have to change pronouns (see Pokémon), but I'm just wondering if it's worth a note somewhere. (I know we're not gonna get an explanation anytime soon...) --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 02:15, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

It blatantly says all Heartless, Nobodies, etc., unless they are characters, are genderless in the MoS. It's probably just an inconsistent translation error; why would just one or two Heartless have genders while the other Mushrooms don't (I believe No. 8 is called male for no real reason...)? No. 10 is "it" again in the Journal, as well. It can be a Trivia note, but the pronoun should be left as "it" on the actual article to reflect the MoS, rest of the game, rest of the article, and the other articles in general. -  Eternal Nothingness XIII  03:46, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
I should think so too. If every other Mushroom is referred to as 'it' in the journals and reports, then we shouldn't overthink it when Mushroom X is mistakenly referred to as 'she'. Troisnyx 14:35, 2 February 2015 (UTC)
As far as the MoS is concerned, that's because they are species and not individuals. The bosses (including the XIII) are individuals, so it's possible for them to have gender if the game says they do. As far as this instance, can we get a screenshot of the Japanese version of the battle scroll? We can check whether the gender connotation is present in the original -- if not, then this should just be a trivia note about a translator error."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:38, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

http://imgur.com/XJ32R42 --Neumannz, The Dark Falcon 16:58, 2 February 2015 (UTC)

It doesn't use any specific gendered words."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 02:34, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

Drop Rates?Edit

Anyone ever figure out whats up with these drops? I'm getting the same level 2 (plain mushroom +, joyous mushroom +) from both the high end and the low end (4, and 11) when I complete the requirement for the mushroom. How do I get the good stuff?--Amantis (talk) 07:29, 17 June 2015 (UTC)

You have to get better scores, and the Lucky Lucky abilities help."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:43, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
So the score listed on this page is the lowest required score? Cause I've been reaching all of those numbers
Yeah. See the tables above. 2, 5, and 8 are probably the easiest to get high scores on."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 01:54, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

No. 1 appears at Memory's Skyscraper after Xemnas is defeated. Sora has 30 seconds to hit it as many times as he can.

No. 1 will continuously attempt to use Reversal to get behind Sora, but this will allow Sora to use his own "Reversal" and "Quick Slide" reaction commands. Once both commands expire, No. 1 will dash at Sora, knocking him back. If Sora can get behind the Mushroom with either Reversal or Quick Slide, the Mushroom will become confused and drop its guard. (!) The key to defeat it is to wait past Reversal for the more effective Quick Slide, which instantly makes the Mushroom open to damage—it is also possible to make the Mushroom vulnerable using Reversal, but requires at least two uses and often sends Sora in the wrong direction, negating its effect. The window on Quick Slide is very small, and Sora can only deal nine hits at a time, so it is wise to use Wisdom Form or Final Form in order to deal them as quickly as possible.

Like Xemnas, this Heartless has the "Reversal" reaction, and like the Memory's Contortion battle, the key to dealing damage and avoiding being stunned is to use good timing with the reactions instead of mashing them as soon as possible. Its large size is a reference to Xemnas's role as the superior of Organization XIII, and its location is a reference to the first battleground with Xemnas.

This one continues to advocate this rewrite, and placing images as tabs in the lead infobox. Also for Flantastic Seven."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 15:41, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
The current infoboxes are quite a mess with all the rewards. If we can make it look clearer, that would be better. I'm not sure about the images as tabs in the lead infobox, though. 13 tabs is quite a lot. TheSilentHero 15:51, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
This one suggests that a gallery, then, might be in order."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 13:04, 25 February 2019 (UTC)
